Project Overview

Hatham R Construction, working on behalf of CBRE, were appointed to deliver the refurbishment and extension of the Steve Watson Building, a single-storey office building within the Airbus campus. The works provided modern office accommodation and welfare facilities for Airbus senior staff, located close to the runway to support monitoring of airside activities.

Our Approach

Extension works to create additional office and welfare space.

Full MEP upgrade, including:

  • New ventilation and above-ground drainage.

  • Energy-efficient electrical installations.

  • New boiler system.

  • Integrated access control and CCTV.

Roof replacement – flat felt roof and cold loft space removed and replaced with a pitched bitumen/tile roof, creating warm attic storage.

Internal upgrades – installation of acoustic-rated suspended ceilings for comfort and noise control.

Fire safety compliance – new fire strategy incorporated to meet current regulations.
